After last weekend being so busy, I vowed to bake only one dish, and then perhaps a bread. I told Ms. DoMenStic to help me keep my word. And she is doing just that.
The only thing is, I have already stretched the rules as much as possible in advance of the weekend. I am only making one bread (simple sourdough). And I am only baking one new dish (Garlic Naan). But I am making the sourdough twice, one on each day, to test out variations of approaches to using my new sourdough Starter, otherwise recently known as "The Beast".
But I am also revisiting the Cinnamon Twisty Bread, this time without maple syrup, just to win Torin's favor again - this is acceptable because I have done it before, right? And I am making chili Garlic Hot Sauce out of our remaining crop of chili peppers - just because it needs to get done before all the chillies decay in the winter cold. And I am making breakfast for Haej and I on Sat, also just because.
So there is still a fair amount going on. But when it comes to baking experiments, I am sticking to my new rule. Aren't I?
UPDATE: Slight change of plans. Our get together for which I am making the Garlic Naan, which we had thought was on Sunday, is actually on Saturday. So the schedule is getting condensed. 2 Sourdoughs, Chili Sauce, and Garlic Naan in the next 18 hours. Let's do this!
